The purpose of this research is to improve the productivity and reliability of construction processes during the execution plan of Construction Projects in the main Mining Plants. In this research, I´ve performed an analysis of the resources used from direct labor and the construction deadline of 04 big mining projects executed between 2007 and 2013, in which the tools of the Lean Construction philosophy were not used. This results motivated the implementation of these tools in the Cerro Verde 2 expansion project developed between 2014 to 2016 and validated in Toquepala expansion project between 2016 and 2018, which benefits of Lean Construction tools implementation could be demonstrated despite the great variability that exists in this type of project´s. The main Lean Construction tools used in this implementation were the following: • Integrated Project Delivery Model (IPD) • Constructability studies using BIM modeling • PULL planning to determine construction master schedules. • Last Planner System (LPS) • Master, intermediate and weekly scheduling • Planning Reliability Analysis (PPC) • Constraint analysis. • Productivity loss analysis through General level of activities and Balance charts. Therefore, it is sought that Lean Construction philosophy tools developed in large-scale Electomechanical Projects wich had positive and tangible results will be used and perfected during the execution of new projects planned to be developed in the short and medium term at the national level as a result of the economy reactivation in the mining sector projected for the next years, generating benefits for both industry and society.
