Air pollution inside an office building is the cause of multiple health problems, which can range from fatigue or discomfort to symptoms compatible with allergies, infections and cancer. Air quality inside an office building is important because it is related to the well-being, comfort and productivity of the occupants. It depends on a number of factors, such as the quality of the outdoor air, the design of the ventilation system, the conditions of operation and maintenance of the equipment. The present work of professional sufficiency has the purpose of improving the conditions and quality of the air inside an office building, to achieve this, the initial conditions will be evaluated to redesign the ventilation systems, which will allow controlling the air pollutants present inside. The performance of the work begins with the request for technical information, such as plans for the air conditioning systems of the offices, the ventilation rates and the cooling thermal loads of the office environments will be verified. The results are compared with the existing design and the critical environments will be determined. For the evaluation of critical environments, measurements of temperature, relative humidity, CO2, distribution, recirculation and air speed are carried out, these results are evaluated and compared with the minimum values allowed for an office building, according to international and national regulations, as well as health organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health of Peru (MINSA). The results obtained from the measurements, together with the evaluation of the technical information, will make it possible to carry out the supporting calculations to determine the selection of equipment and technologies to be used in the existing air conditioning system. In the redesign of the system, the new parameters of air quality and thermal comfort will be determined, which will allow better conditions for the well-being and health of the occupants of the office building.
