The processes for managing the admission of university applicants in Peru tend to adopt essentially simple consecutive step methods. They have very similar procedures, the entire development of which is rarely seen as a single complex process by the person in charge and the personnel who execute it. There is usually no comprehensive management of this process, since the usual series of operations to be carried out, compared to other more complex and professional tasks, such as classroom teaching, reinforces this belief of simplicity. This attitude is judged to contribute to the very frequent neglect of important aspects of the admission process, which often results in detriment to the quality of the results obtained. Students who deserved to enter do not enter and a certain number of those who do not deserve it do manage to enter, with the consequent damage to the educational process. It can therefore be said that here there is great neglect in regard to the quality of the admission process as a whole, which is also an essential part of the total educational process. This attitude is very widespread, which includes accepted assumptions, such as the little importance that these initial tasks have for the entire educational process, it is a gross error and this study will highlight it, highlighting that the opposite is true: The need to plan, decide and carry out this operation through an always improved and integrated management with the preparation, reception, routing of applicants, tests, qualifications, etc. that can be comprehensively satisfied through Continuous Improvement Management based on the identification of processes. This statement will be developed in the following items: The Chapter 1 characterizes in detail the problem raised here; examines the field data, establishes the objective of the study, and based on it, issues its Central Hypothesis; The Improvement Model influences the modernization of the Management of Admission Processes in Public Universities in Peru, the case of the National University of Engineering and the way in which this problem has recently been approached will be shown. The effectiveness you can achieve is based on the consistent adoption of process improvement. The Chapter 2 will bring together very important complementary regulatory aspects, such as the Theoretical, Conceptual and Legal Framework. The Chapter 3 will deploy the development of the investigating process in all their phases. Saying the made formal, inductive theatricality, that he drives, step by step, from the variables and his indicators to the obtaining of the validity of the Hypotheses put forward in investigation, with the statistical rigor that corresponds to him. It including the Management Model that sets for itself as contribution of the Thesis. The Chapter 4, exposes and he discusses research findings and his sequels, in terms of the exposition of the obtained Results. Finally, the Conclusions and Recommendations will close this investigation showing the main contribution of the Thesis.
