Arequipa is the second region with the greatest contribution to the national GDP and occupies second place in the level of regional competitiveness (2018). In addition, Peru has had sustained economic growth in recent years and this has been reflected in an important activity of the construction industry in Arequipa both in the real estate market and in infrastructure works. On the other hand, the procurement of materials has a great relevance in the construction projects and a bad management of the same can generate important economic losses for the construction companies; in addition, if we take into account that, due to the nature of the latter, there are relatively low profit margins, improving procurement management is a matter of central importance. Within the process of planning, monitoring and control of the procurement, different actors have been identified: Manager, Planning, Purchasing and Warehouse. A methodological proposal that improves their level of satisfaction will, in turn, improve the level of general management of the procurement of materials. To evaluate the level of satisfaction, the Kano method or model has been used, which is a tool generated in the eighties for the development of products considering the needs of the client. Toe method allows cataloging new attributes of a particular product, depending on the reaction of clients to simple questions, so that an improved product can be designed that really increases the level of satisfaction of end users. Currently, it is also used by the Lean Six Sigma as one of its VOC (voice of customers) tools. Currently there are ways of working that have proven effective in improving procurement management in the manufacturing industry, and in some cases these good practices have been adapted to the construction industry, examples of this are: Just in Time, Classification ABC, use of Batching, use of Buffers, Lean Production, Last Planner, Kanban, etc. Some of these good practices have been included as attributes to make the diagnosis and design of the proposal. With respect to the proposed methodological proposal, through the Kano method, it has been shown that it would improve the level of satisfaction of the different actors. In addition, the experts consulted have considered that it can be reasonably implemented in medium sized companies in Arequipa and have classified each part of it as good or very good.
