Electrical integration between countries that belong to a region is a worldwide trend for exchange energy resources between neighboring countries. However, it is observed that the distribution of benefits among interconnected countries generally presents a difference or asymmetry. This difference is one of the main difficulties in establishing the terms of reference for regional electricity transactions. To achieve a balance in the benefits that each country registers as a result of international electricity transactions, a methodology has been developed that allows establishing the prices and amounts of energy that will be transmitted, so the participating countries get equal benefits. This methodology has as a principle that each country participates in the exchange of electricity with the objective of satisfying a need: to obtain a surplus or economic savings. This condition can be represented by the Nash Bargaining Model, within the framework of Game Theory, which provides the mathematical formulation for the solution of the multiobjective optimization problem, which seeks to achieve the desired balance. The results of the application of the proposed methodology demonstrate that it is possible to obtain the balance of benefits among the participants of transnational electricity transactions. It also offers an option for operators in the electricity markets of border countries to explore its use in short-term transactions.
