The present thesis: Correlation of the somatotype and dermatoglyphs in mechanical workers in a vehicle maintenance company, determine if the somatotype: Endomorphy, Mesomorphy and Ectomorphy, in addition to body composition, are correlated with the dermatoglyphic profile: arcs, whorls, cubital and radial loop, number of deltas in 10 fingers of the hand (D10) and total number of finger ridges in both hands (SQTL). The information and informed consent form proposed by Ayala (2019a) and Ayala (2019b) was used, the dermatoglyphic registry was specified according to the format proposed by Valencia and Arzola (1981) and the analysis according to the guidelines of Cummins and Midlo (1976). The anthropometric measurements were performed according to indications of the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (Ayala, 2019b). Registration, calculation and analysis of somatotype and somatochart followed the guidelines established by Carter (2002). Body composition calculated according to the model proposed by Martínez (2010). In these workers, that somatotype and dermatoglyphic profile are mutually independent. Likewise, the body composition and dermatoglyphic profile are mutually independent, according to the statistical test used. The dermatoglyphic profile in this workers was: arcs (A) = 3,8%, whorls (W) = 24,6%, cubital Loop (L) = 66,2% and radial Loop (L) = 5,4%, D10 = 12,08 ± 2.63, SQTL = 189,92 ± 54,30, the somatotype was: endomorphic mesomorph with endomorphy = 3,62 ± 0,98, mesomorphy = 5,23 ± 1,08, ectomorphy = 1,48 ± 1,09 and body composition was: fat mass = 13,06 ± 3,59 kg, total body water = 39,32 ± 4,81 kg and dry fat free mass = 14,54 ± 1,78 kg.
