This Work of Sufficiency aims to analyse the economic impact of the lack of monitoring of variables in solar power plants greater than 40 MW to reduce energy losses. For this case study we will analyse a photovoltaic power plant that is located on the department of Moquegua, province of Mariscal Nieto. Initially, the problematic situation is described due to the lack of monitoring of variables that contribute to the losses of solar energy generation and the importance of knowing the efficiency of the operational sub-systems that make up a power plant. To influence the decrease of energy losses, it is proposed to analyse the economic impact due to lack of monitoring of variables in solar power plants greater than 40 MW. Also, for the development of the work, technical information from the office and field has been compiled (recognition of the problem, maintenance records, historical record of generation and weather conditions of the work area). To determine the study of the mentioned analysis, the estimate of the equivalent operation per Inverter belonging to the same Conversion Cabin is considered, based on the operating records of the Scada system for a period of 24 hours. Then, a comparison is made regarding the optimal performance of the Investor and the operating losses of the system are determined, grouping these losses by patterns, their economic impact is quantified.
