Plant No. 02 of the mining unit, in February 2017, the 20'x30 'mill was inoperative due to engine failures. This has caused the Pb-Zn treatment capacity to be reduced to approximately 600 TMPH, it is desired to recover the treatment capacity of Plant No. 02 (1200 TMPH) for the months of August 2017 to March 2018. To Therefore, the 10.5'x14 'and 16'x22' mills will be used as primary mills of Plant No. 02 and the Dominion mill, located in Plant No. 01 as secondary mill. In this sense, a project is developed that includes the engineering, procurement and installation of a pumping system to transport the mineral from Plant No. 02 to Plant No. 01 and to return the mineral from Plant No. 01 to Plant No. 02. Having as main objective the use of the Dominion mill of Plant No. 01 in order to Increase production in the Pb-Zn circuit of Plant No. 02 from 600 TMPH to 1200 TMPH. In the present work, the calculation of a pumping system for transportation of Pb-Zn mineral from Plant No. 02 to Plant No. 01 was performed using theoretical and experimental equations, as well as the fluid mechanics transport equations.
