This research of professional sufficiency develops the structural optimization of electrical transmission towers in the Peruvian territory. This optimization is achieved by applying design criteria of national regulations of National Electricity Code – Supplying 2011 (CNE-Suministro 2011) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) and the structural calculation methodology of the ASCE 10-15 standard of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This research considered the preliminary development of the electromechanical engineering of an electric transmission line, from this engineering, technical specifications, load diagrams and main dimensions of the transmission structure were obtained. The design of the structure was carried out by using the Tower software developed by Power Line Systems, and the result was the structural use of the tower under the specific technical considerations of the project and the design criteria of the proposed regulations. From the results obtained, the reduction of costs in transmission projects through structural optimization was verified.
