The objective of the thesis is to design a heating system, to improve the level of thermal comfort of the inhabitants of Yanacancha, a city located in the department of Cerro de Pasco at a height of approximately 4,350 masl that yearly suffers from the inclemency of the cold, by installing inside their homes a radiative floor system taking advantage of the solar thermal energy. The radiant floor heating system consists of thermoplastic pipes with an aluminum core set under the floor where hot water will flow, which consequently increases the temperature of the floor and also uses solar energy to operate the system. The work begins with the analysis of the theoretical concepts referred to the subject of study, then the heating system is calculated and dimensioned, having these, a cost study is carried out, to optimize it in long periods of operation. A local house model was thermally evaluated, to establish the basic design parameters; criteria of bioclimatic architecture was taken into account such as the orientation of the facades with respect to the solar movement, maximum areas of transmission and reduction of losses due to enclosure or infiltration. At the end of this work it has been concluded that the system works optimally, but requires the support of local and state governments to cover the initial cost of installation (social responsibility) and the commitment to the environment.; since only renewable energy is used.
