The present project has the purpose of obtaining waters with low concentrations of hydrocarbons and other pollutants from the generated effluent, these effluents are generated in the tank cistern washing process of the TRANSPORTATION COMPANY of hydrocarbons and their derivatives in liquid form, the water treated by the method Electrocoagulation can be used again in the washing process, as well as in other processes to be subsequently destined to the public network without exceeding the Admissible Maximum Values and/or Maximum Permissible Limits established in Peruvian legislation. In the present project we will take into account the variables that are directly related to the process, which will help in the measurement of the proposed objectives, these variables are: •PH •Density of current •Material of the electrodes •Time •Flow. The methodology proposed for the execution of our project will be based on a stagnating process which is called a batch process using aluminum electrodes, within which an optimal process time and current will be obtained, then the continuous flow method with electrodes will be used. of Aluminum using the same intensity of current, varying the time and the flow of the water. Because the electrocoagulation method presents in its process simple equipment and easy operation at the laboratory level, a verification of the removal of contaminants and an analysis of the costs involved in its application on an industrial scale will be carried out.
