The present thesis project was carried out with the purpose of proposing an automatic system in Lomas de Paraíso, which will allow the automatic and manual watering of Tara plantations throughout its vegetative process, since this plant is very important because it can be used as a tanning, medicinal, dyeing, pesticide, in the pharmaceutical industry, beer and wine industry, food industry, etc. The irrigation land is divided in 2 zones which make a total of 7,101 m2 approximately This technified irrigation system can be operated both locally with a panel that has a human-machine interaction interface, and remotely through a mobile application that also has the ability to monitor water flow that is stored in a database. On the other hand, the system also has a tank filling controller that has the function of distributing the water provided in 2 ways according to the time of year: when there is fog, the so-called fog traps located at the top are used, these provide water which by gravity is distributed in the reservoirs located below; when there is no fog, a tanker truck will be the water supplier to a tank at the bottom and in order to take the water to the tanks located above, an electric power system is needed. The main function of the electric power system is to supply energy to the electric valves and electric pumps in a safe manner so that they can pump the water that has been supplied by the tanker truck, to the other tanks. Another function is to energize the irrigation and tank filling controllers with protective equipment to prevent them from failing. This automatic system will allow the increase of Tara production in the Lomas de Paraiso, as well as an efficient distribution and use of water resources. In addition, this system is scalable, allowing to increase irrigation areas and to be replicated in other places due to its low cost and easy operation.
