The new challenges for the oil refining industry have led to stricter quality issues regarding final products based on sulfur compounds and their combinations. The current Peruvian regulations through the supreme decree, D.S. Nº 025-2017-EM requires that the current parameters in the commercialization of high-octane gasoline or gasohols must contain a maximum of 50 ppm of sulfur. European standards today have determined parameters for its concentration and the impact is seen in the development of its internal combustion vehicles, reaching lower limits of 10ppm (Euro VI). The objective of the FCC (HTF) naphtha hydrotreating unit is to achieve deep hydrodesulfurization of light cracked naphtha (LCN) and heavy cracked naphtha (HCN), with the consideration of not lowering the octane number during its process, to achieve this purpose, correct activation of the catalysts used through sulfurization reactions using the sulfurizing agent, Dimethyl Disulfide (DMDS), is required. The process that will allow the hydrotreatment of the cracked naphtha is the Prime G + of the Axens company, which includes the sections: Selective Hydrogenation Unit. (SHU) consisting of a reactor and a Splitter (Separating Column) and Hydrodesulphurization Unit (HDS), which consists of two stages of selective hydrotreatment through two reactors, a treatment system and a stabilization section.
