Today, the demand for industrial lubricants is driven by rapid industrialization in developing countries accompanied by an increase in the number of commercial activities. Therefore, the increase in investment in R&D activities together with an adequate channel of expansion helps key players to growth worldwide. Some of the industries expected to see significant growth include mining, chemicals, and unconventional energy. That said, it is of utmost importance that the university can improve its theoretical and practical chair in order for graduates to have up-to-date knowledge regarding quality analysis techniques and lubricating oil specifications so that with this they are able to function effectively in this industry. In a simplified way, it can be said that lubricants are formulated by mixing base oils and additives, intentionally selected and quantified so that the final product has a series of performance specifications. These specifications refer to the physical and chemical properties of the new formulated oil (made from virgin raw materials), and also ensure that the oil continues to operate and protects the engine or machinery in service. Therefore, the present work of professional sufficiency has been prepared to provide such knowledge. In such a way that the contribution discloses the main properties, valued and approved, of the lubricating oils most in demand from the Vistony company, which are motor oil, oil for hydraulic systems, gear oil, metal machining oil and transformer oil. This contribution includes analyzes, procedures, protocols and established specifications for each of the properties of these lubricating oils. Likewise, the organizational structure of the company, the environmental impact management systems, industrial safety and a technical narrative of my functions and activities are presented. In addition to this, it also incorporates own contributions that so far in my work stay have allowed me to obtain more precise values of the properties and improvement in the formulations. Finally, the work shows through conclusions the current state of the results, methods and procedures of the quality analysis and adds recommendations that allow improving their reliability.
