At present, the country develops various types of large-scale projects; and its development is through international and national norms and changes. The development of the welding process in the mining and hydrocarbon sectors; It was done according to Americans like ASME / API / AWS and others. The large construction and assembly constructions of these projects have implemented a specific management system for the welding area, due to the great importance in cost, time and benefit. In comparison to the projects executed in the navigational sectors in the country, the perspective and importance of the welding process is low; which leads to generating reprocessing, and increasing cost, time, and quality; The problem increases when they have to certify the ship according to the American Bureau of Shipping ABS Classification Society. According to ABS, it leaves a free working criterion under a specific standard, that is, we can use American (AWS / ASME / API / ...) or European (ISO / ENU / ...) regulations; The most used in our country is the American regulations. Throughout my professional experience I found in most shipyards and navigational workshops, workers welding without prior WPQ qualification and without a WPS procedure; Engineers, supervisors and inspectors with ignorance of the standard and norm for each system in service; of a boat. In the development of the thesis we will focus on the analysis of improvement of the welding management of the Hull and Structures of the Tugboat of 20 TM Helmet and structures include the outer and inner lining, frames, cover, longitudinal and transverse reinforcements, beams, palmejar, keel and other internal welds. The thesis begins with an analysis of the Classifier ABS Part. 2 RULES FOR MATERIALS AND WELDING and GUIDE FOR NON-STRUCTURE INSTRUCTION OF HELMET WELDS, explaining the criteria and recommendations; the thesis executed the management procedures, welding procedures to the hull and main structures of the Tugboat under construction; for this the ABS classifier makes it possible to take variables or parameters of the standard and / or standard suitable for each service, in this case AWS D1.1; Once you have the procedures it is recommended according to the indications of the classifier and protocols recognized its qualification to the welders, the inspection to each main element, taking into account its complexity and functionality of the structures and helmet, in the ABS it gives us the acceptance criteria which are also mentioned in this thesis; with the objective of having as a guide of improvement in productivity thus reducing cost and time.
