The present thesis of applied research, deals with the improvement of the productivity in the installation of pipes in sanitation networks, applied in the Project of Potable Water and Sewerage Pachacutec Stage I applied in Stage I of the Pachacutec Potable Water and Sewage System Project, in the district of Ventanilla, in the district of Ventanilla - Peru, for which the scientific methodology inductive - deductive was used. The geotechnical characteristics of the sandy soils of the área were analyzed and an excavation methodology was proposed for the installation of the pipes, which was called precompaction. The premise was that, by rationalizing the amount of water in the precompaction process, according to the depth of excavation, productivity would be increased with the respective cost reduction. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Evidence showed that the low compactness of the sandy soils in the Ventanilla district and the traditional methodology used for the digging of trenches generates difficulty in the process, causing low work yields and making installation processes more expensive in drinking water and sewage networks. Because orthodox and traditional excavation methodologies in sandy soils that comply with the regulations do not regulate the volume of water nor the trench shoring to be used an análisis was performed on the characteristics of the sandy soils of the area and site conditions. After that, a methodology was proposed that: regulates the volume of water to be used in the stabilization of the excavation slopes; designs the slopes of the excavations and decreases the use of the trench shoring; and primarily technifies the processes with the purpose of increasing the productivity of the work As a consequence of the application of the proposed methodology, results indicate that in the processes where the methodology was implemented it was possible to regulate the volume of water according to the excavation depth, design the excavation slopes and obtain economically favorable conditions for the work.
