The drilling of a well represents an important activity since it will allow to verify the presence of hydrocarbons in the area that you want to exploit, this activity is developed through the use of a set of highly trained teams and personnel who perform multiple previous studies. During the drilling development, a set of parameters that will affect the progress in the rate with which these parameters are drilled should be taken into account: the weight on the drill, the speed of rotation, fluid characteristics, etc ... These parameters were studied both statistically and analytically to know their degree of influence on the drilling rate, which is why in the development of this research thesis, data were taken from three neighboring wells for the analysis and classification of the same with the purpose of having the necessary data for the models that will be used in this investigation. The statistical and analytical models of the drilling rate are responsible for making a representation of how it would be the rates for wells that are nearby and that share the same formations, such models can be used to perform predictive analyzes in the future. The development of these models is based on obtaining constants that represent the behavior of the drilling parameters when crossing a specific formation, these constants can be used for future neighboring wells and to know how drilling rates could be presented. The development of this research provides an additional panorama to the analysis carried out in the planning of an oil well in a known area, allowing to predict the rates that may occur and thus be prevented for any eventuality. Both analytical and statistical models grant a novel vision in the prediction of drilling rates that is based on mathematics and natural sciences, but as in fieldwork it is likely that nature does not follow a strict behavior in Certain parts of the modeling can escape any prediction.
