Water is a very necessary resource for the human being, without it life could not continue or it would be necessary to seek other means by which to survive, so the importance of this vital element. Just as people and other living beings need this resource, so do the production processes to generate the good to be used by society and this is reflected in all industries. Mining is no stranger to this, it is more, in almost all the mining units the reuse of it is used to the maximum in the different processes, without harming the water sources; the excess effluents from these processes are treated by various technologies that are available today, thus minimizing the content of metals that they have in mind so that they can be used again for human consumption, agriculture and other industries; citing that old stigma present in every community that lives with mining, which is determined as the main activity that pollutes water. The mining company where this thesis is carried out, of Peruvian capitals, is a company committed to the environment and adopts a series of environmental measures that favor the care of it, one of which is the reuse of water from metallurgical processes, again in these and only the surplus is treated in the water treatment plant through the processes of neutralization, coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation; to guarantee the removal of metallic content from its effluents and to be able to evacuate it, to the bodies of water, used by different communities, cities, etc. Fulfilling in this way those established in DS 010-2010-MINAM. The purpose of this document is to analyze the treatment of sewage from metallurgical processes, study it and obtain the optimal reagent doses to ensure that the effluent always meets the maximum permissible limits, with 90% removals at the time of the year, in which the arsenic contents tend to increase to values in which the normal treatment process is not efficient, resorting to the help of oxidation to achieve removals even greater than 90% and thus also reduce to a greater degree other harmful metals, as in the case of copper mainly.
