The objective of this research work was to determine how blasting is affected with cut shots, optimizing fragmentation and safety in the project. Therefore, the hypothesis was hypothesized that by controlling the shots cut in blasting, the security and fragmentation of the rock. To achieve the goals of the advance was chosen to control and eliminate the shots cut. To proceed with the goals determine the causes of the shots cut, an in-depth analysis determines that the causes of the shots cut that pose a danger with fatal consequences are essentially for bad handling (skill of the operator) and physical conditions of the explosives and their respective accessories; By controlling these parameters, a high blasting efficiency was achieved at the same time that the accident rates decreased drastically.
