The main objective of the investigation is to study the maintenance plan based on the reliability to improve the availability of the Electrostatic Precipitator B2033-1 / 2 of the plant 2 within the Nexa Resources Refinery; therefore, information was collected from the Refinery, finding an availability in the year 2018 of 83.86% and 2018 in 69.47%, for which a maintenance plan was made based on the reliability identifying the functions, functional failures, Failure modes, through the methodology of the analysis and effects of failures (FMEA), after this, the criticality analysis of all the components of the Electrostatic Precipitator was carried out taking as a reference the criteria considered by the Refinery. Finally, the faults with the highest risk priority number (NPR) are determined, thus elaborating the decision sheet. With this proposal, it is expected to increase equipment availability to reduce maintenance costs and avoid production losses due to unavailability of equipment.
