The design of a methodology for the evaluation of the reliability based on the assigned reliability criterion is constituted as the main objective of the present study, its importance lies in considering the statistical processes for both repairable and non-repairable assets, and extends its scope to the main groups of a continuous process in this case of a combined cycle power generation process The methodology used implies the assigned reliability criteria, Birnbaum indices, the generalized renewal process based on Kijima Sumita models and applicable to repairable components, the use of simulation software in this case of Reliasoft is a factor key to aspects such as process modeling, failure data analysis, as well as reliability objective analysis. The results obtained confirm the impact on the achievement of the reliability objective of the plant balance system related to steam systems focused on steam tempering valves. This research is constituted as a methodology for analyzing the reliability objective; not exclusive of power plants; but in addition to any other complex industrial process with intensive use of repairable assets.
