This master's thesis in Electromechanical Project Management has developed the application of a Maturity Models, analysis of Organizational Capacity and as part of the state of the art an improvement plan for Project Management, with the objective of achieving strategic goals to finish the execution of the Termochilca project in time and cost. The thesis is based on the fundamentals of the OPM3 standard (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model), Developed by the PMI (Project Management Institute). The Organizational maturity model of Project Management will be applied to the current management carried out by the POYRY project management office in the execution of the Termochilca project; Electric power generation thermal power plant located in the south of Lima that is currently in the conversion stage from simple cycle to combined cycle, to increase its effective power from 200MW to 300MW without the use of additional natural gas. The techniques developed in the thesis will allow the Project Manager or the team in charge of the Project Management organization to determine the degree of maturity and the capabilities that Termochilca has for the execution of the project and thus decide the improvement routes based on a quantitative analysis implementing an improvement plan, obtaining control of the variables of the dimensions of cost and time management and guaranteeing the strategic objectives of Termochilca achieving a successful project management.
