The main tapie of this thesis is oriented at solving the thermal comfort problem of users who are working in administrative offices, training rooms, analysis and processes laboratories that belongs to an agro-industrial plant located in the city of lea. lt was taken into account its building type consisting of 1 single level plant area of 1822 square meters; designed with a new air conditioning system using variable refrigerant volume, based on the design as recommended by the ASHARAE, basically obtaining heat gains in each part of the environment. MIDEA VRF SELECTION software was used for the equipment selection of outdoor units and diameter of the copper pipes for each given length as the case would require by observing the design plans. To test this hypothesis, it was verified that it is possible to design this system because the lengths of the pipes and the thermal loads of each enclosure were accepted by the software satisfactorily without any error message. This is due to the fact that previously calculated data inserted in the program are well developed despite of the complexities that we faced for our building type. As a result, 11 condensing units and 42 evaporating units were obtained as the main conclusion, could be affirmed that it is possible to carry out the design under ASHARAE GRP-158 standards KEY WORDS: Air conditioning, agro-industrial plant.
