This thesis work corresponds to an evaluation of mining strategies to increase the production of pounds of copper, in the short-term planning stage in a mine in southern Peru. The information published in this thesis, specifically in the results obtained, does not correspond to the reality of the mining operation. The mining operation is carried out in two pitches, the thesis research focuses on the San José pit that has two mining phases, San José 6 phase located in the upper levels of the pit in a clearing stage and the San José phase 5 located in the lower levels of the pit, being the phase with the highest grade and best recovery of mine concentrate. With the advance of mining of the San José pit, the condition of phase interference arose, when San José phase 6 was mined material fell to the access ramp to San José phase 5. Until the entrance to San José phase 5 was blocked by fall of material, causing losses to the company. The main purpose of the thesis is to implement the mining plan considering the mining phase San José 5, the research methodology is scientific based on a quantitative approach and applied in the mining operation. The population is made up of mining plan cases considering different mining strategies and movement of loading equipment. Finally, it is concluded that the implementation of the mining plan in interfered phases increases the production of the copper concentrate in the mining operation.
