The present project is located in the line of research of design of machines, whose purpose is to design a machine for plastic torsion of solid structural profiles of rectangular section, oriented to metal workshops, since currently has problems in the process of torsion due to the use of experimental mechanisms that cause overexertion and fatigue on the worker, and as a consequence generates low productivity of the personnel as well as the low demand of new products. For the present design, various power transmission configurations and the current costs of commercial materials within the local market are considered.
