The present thesis work is the result of an experimental study on the correlation between the number of strokes made of the Standard Penetration test and the load capacity obtained by the dynamic Pile Driving Analyzer test, applied to piles inclined 60 ° with respect to the horizontal, 24 inches in diameter and 12 mm. of thickness. The area studied is on the right bank of Madre de Dios River, in La Pastora sector, in Madre de Dios region. In the project studied, 12 breakwaters were built along the right bank of Madre de Dios River, and its main objective is to prevent scour caused by the movement of river waters that could have caused damage to a section of Interoceanic Highway in the future. The project had been completed in January 2017, however for the “phenomenon of the child” and other climatological factors, the river had an avenue not foreseen in the design, reason why it generated critical structural failures in 2 of the 12 breakwaters, reconstructing itself in large part of these, so an intermediate trellis was added, compared to the initial design that only a top trellis had been built on the breakwater, making 11 new piles (7 at breakwater 10 and 4 at breakwater 11). The thesis presents theoretical aspects of the basic concepts of foundations and their types, load capacity for a pile and tests that are used, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and static and dynamic test (PDA). A compilation of the existing information of the project was carried out, mainly from the study of soils carried out for this sector and the results of the dynamic PDA test. From the study of soils, the numbers of strokes of the 8 realized sounding were analyzed, and from the dynamic PDA test, the load capacities of the 11 driven piles were analyzed. From these two studies, a statistical analysis was performed to find the main objective of the thesis, which is to obtain the correlation, all this for piles of the same characteristics.
