The main objective of this research work is to develop the application of the Six Sigma methodology to increase inventory accuracy in the finished products warehouse of Backus company. In order to achieve these objectives, it is proposed to eliminate errors in the dispatch of the finished product, to improve control in expired product warehouse, implement a waste control and to standardize the process of taking physical inventory count. The thesis consists of six chapters in which the different topics of the thesis are developed. Chapter one describes the methodological aspects of the research carried out, detailing the problems, objectives, hypotheses, etc. Chapter two describes the indispensable theoretical foundation for the good interpretation of the work. Chapter three describes the company in depth in order to provide knowledge of the object under study, a functional diagnosis of its processes and a strategic diagnosis of the company. Chapter four describes in detail the application of the five steps of the Six Sigma methodology, define, measure, analyze, improve and control. In chapter five it has been made the cost-benefit evaluation of the implementation of the improvements is made. Chapter six presents the conclusions and recommendations of the thesis.
