- In the present thesis, It is described the design of an electronic prototype of visual warning of ultraviolet index with preventive aims to the population health. This was necessary due to global and national policies, whose objective is to protect the population from the dangers of ultraviolet radiation. The solution development is developed in two main chapters - The study of the Ultraviolet sensor, where: o The calculation of the UV index is made, preliminary theoretical aspects are seen to obtain the calculation model, then the formulation of the model is presented, to explain what refers to the diffuse spectral radiation in the soil and the global irradiance, and finally to do the quantification of UV radiation. o The sensors available in the market are analyzed. o The manufacturer is determined and stipulated about the characteristics of the required sensor. - Methodology to solve the problem. - Where the requirements of the electronic prototype are presented and then, the design and implementation are presented, which cover the logic of elementary operation, its main components, the programming, the prototype improvements, and its implementation.
