The high Andean zones in Peru, due to their altitude and topography, are exposed to extreme climatic factors such as friaje, which generates negative effects and damages to life, health, agricultural and livestock activity, as well as damage to infrastructure. Lately, the friajes in Puno are generating strong impacts causing damage to homes due to heavy rains and winds. Currently, in order to develop actions of reconstruction, reinforcement, thermal comfort and improvement of safe rural housing, settled in population centers in areas of friajes, proposals for constructive systems are proposed using economic and local materials available to the low-income population. For this research a proposal of a constructive system with thermal insulation using local materials such as totora and wood, is presented, in order to minimize energy losses by heat transfer to or from the environment generating a thermal balance and good comfort in dwellings located in areas of height. Methodology of the work carried out: The general design of a housing module of 5.67 mx 5.67 m of a plant is presented as an application of the proposed construction system, where the structural calculation of each of the components that make up this housing module is done and detailed, designing the electrical and sanitary installations. In addition, the manufacturing process of the proposed wall, door and window panels is detailed, as well as the manufacturing process of the wooden reinforcements that receive the roof coverage of the housing module. The constructive procedure of the housing module is presented from the preparation of the land to its completion with final finishes and finally the advantages and limitations of the construction system are presented. The essays that have been carried out in the present thesis are described as follows: Sieving granulometric test of the earth used for the primary coating of mortar in the wall panels, Test of the limits of consistency of the earth used for the mortar plaster in wall panels, Compression strength test of cement and earth mortar, Compression strength SUMMARY test of wall panels of 0.90 mx 0.90 m, Test of diagonal compression strength of wall panels of 0.90 mx 0.90 m, Test of thermal conductivity of gypsum and totora. The thermal transmittance of the outer and inner wall panel, ceiling, floor, door and window composed of different materials of the proposed construction system is calculated, in addition the thermal transmittances of the adobe wall and masonry wall are calculated, so that an analysis is finally made comparative in front of the wall panel of the proposed system and verify who offers greater thermal comfort. The budget, support of measures, analysis of unit costs and plans of the housing module of 5.67 m x 5.67 m is presented, also carrying out a comparative economic benchmark study against the Conventional Construction System of masonry.
