This work shows the implementation of the method of mining of long in the company of Andaychagua mine mining drills Volcan S.A.A, by means of a Geomecanico study and an assessment of costs. His method of exploitation of the mine Andaychagua is mainly cut and fill downward (UCF), is a method of operation that you have very high operating costs ($62.73 / ton) and a slow mining cycle and parame being which did not allow to make large m upgrades to lower costs and to increase production. The implementation of the method of mining by long holes, is an attractive and affordable alternative that can meet the objectives of increasing production and productivity, lower costs with good safety and environmental condition. The Geomecamico study is based on the method graph of the stability of Potvin. Mathews, Dickson and in the hydraulic RADIUS (S) that determine us the dimensions of the excavation with a maximum height of 14 m and a maximum vent length of 11.6 m which gives the parameters for the planning and design of mining method. Results checks the increase in production at 46.89% lowers unit costs at 15.21% and improved safety ratings where referred to in the annual minority of management of the Mining company Volcan S.A.A.
