Today it is recognized the importance of carrying out an adequate management of the supply in the companies, becoming a fundamental part to be able to order the raw material, but it increases its level of complexity when it comes to imported material; For which reason, it should be tried to request in the moment and in the necessary quantity, not to generate breaks or ruptures of stock, to control the levels of inventory to be able to reduce the costs of owning them, to use the projections of demand to have a guide to take Decisions and maintain an appropriate relationship with suppliers in order to ensure a quality product and the agreed time. The proposed supply model analyzes the current procedure to propose a procedure using engineering tools that allow the results to be shown and thus be able to be measured to improve them constantly. In the analysis it is observed that the quantity to be ordered of glass tube is only obtained by the experience of the operations manager and is not studied or analyzed with engineering tools. With the implementation of the forecast improvement, the probability of requesting more or less quantity is shortened; In addition, the cost of the same is zero, and only direct benefits are obtained by using it. In order to know the annual impact of buying according to the forecast, the previous year was evaluated, since the real demand was known, the actual bought lots and the estimated demand for forecast of the year 2017 could be made based on past historical information (years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017). In addition, with the use of stock policies, a better management of the supply process is carried out in order to control the proper management of resources.
