Within the construction sector, both for low-volume works and for Megaprojects, subcontracting a service, supply or equipment represents a considerable percentage of cost and management within the project. Due to this, the management of outsourcing plays an important role since it works in conjunction with the other areas of the project. A large percentage of smaller projects, projects or megaprojects do not meet the appropriate management when outsourcing a service, for example, and this in turn carries delays during the execution of the same. If the joint work of areas such as Production, Costs and Engineering interrelated with the Subcontracts area will work properly, there would be no inconvenience in the flow of work progress, but in reality in many cases there is no established schedule to manage the Services in the right time. The present thesis takes as reference of the management of the area of subcontracts for the “Obra Obligatoria Panamericana Norte: Obras Menores Subtramos PN1 - PN2“ of the work “Vías Nuevas de Lima“ by the company “Odebrecht Perú Ingeniería y Construcción“ In comparison with the Procurement Management described in the PMBOK-5th Edition, in order to evaluate the management and coordination procedures with the suppliers comparing them with the PMBOK guide and to locate the wrong procedures or weak points within the management process, In order to generate a template of sequential processes in the management of subcontracting, which due to its flexibility can be adapted and implemented based on the need and experience of each project. This Thesis in turn wants to contribute to the improvement of the management of Acquisitions or Subcontracting in order that they are adequate to the needs and requirements of the project and the client.
