Nowadays humankind seeks new technologies that simplify processes, save energy and economic resources, but without polluting the environment. These technologies should be tools to counter climate change and safeguard the health of the planet. The power generation capacity has been increasing each year and is necessary to be aware of how much energy will be for future generations. We must use the energy from nature, but without compromising environmental safety. For these reasons this thesis aimed to determine the efficiency of hybrid electric lighting during the day in Lima. This work has been developed in an effort to show that it is possible to counter climate change by reducing carbon dioxide. It is attainable to improve the efficiency of indoor lighting by decarbonizing the energy sector thanks to the contribution of new technology; replacing conventional lighting generated by the application of electrical energy, which is a source of natural light, generated by solar energy. This is a quantitative research, comparative descriptive conducted in a population of eight meteorological stations distributed in three areas of the Lima Region. We worked with a non- random sample, consisting of three weather stations at the rate of one per zone. Data were collected through a registration lighting. The results showed that the use of an efficient system of daytime hybrid electric lighting in Lima reduces emissions of greenhouse gases. These checks are the basis to state that it is advantageous to start the use the hybrid lighting system.
