In this paper, the results of research on the comparative analysis of mechanical properties prisms and assemblages of masonry, using unconventional mortars (polymeric mortars) called “Argamassa para Bloco“ and “Massa Dun Dun“, and traditional mortar (cement-sand-water) for a dosage of cement-sand 1: 4. The test specimens were prepared considering three types of bricks widely used in the field of construction to structural and non-structural masonry wall. Masonry units are “King Kong 18H 30% Vacíos” called Type A, brick “King Kong 18H” called Type B and “Pandereta Lisa” called Type, these units are industrial manufacture of the brand “PIRAMIDE”. These prisms and assemblages of masonry were prepared following the recommendations of the manufacturers of polymeric mortars, and traditional mortar according to “NTE E-0.70 de Albañilería” Masonry construction using these polymer mortar is different and innovative, they come ready to use and do not require addition of water or some other component. To build a wall is only required to apply two parallel lines 1cm thick, along the seating face brick, which results in a faster building of walls, among other benefits. In developing the thesis shows triáis for the classification of the masonry unit, triáis fine aggregate for making mortar pattem, which has a dosing volume of cement- sand 1:4, tests in the pattern mortar, all according to the “Norma Técnica Peruana” for each test and “NTE E-0.70 de Albañilería”. Then is details the development and testing of prisms and assemblages of masonry (Chapter V), tests performed are: Compressive strength of masonry prisms; Tensile strength in bending batteries; diagonal compression in masonry assemblages. The interpretation of these results is detail in Chapter VI. In conclusión, Polymer mortars “Argamassa para Bloco“ and “Massa Dun Dun“ do not reach the final average in diagonal compression in masonry assemblages and compressive strength of masonry prisms, compared to pattern mortar. However, in the tensile test to flexión in masonry prisms can even triple the valué of the ultímate strength of mortar pattern, so that these polymer mortars have a flexural strength well above the traditional mortar.
