One of the most significant operating costs (often the largest) associated with artificial production method Sucker Rod Pumping is the cost of the pulling and spare parts used in the repair of the pump subsoil. Many wells are often involved because of repairs that make this method marginally economic. This problem is compounded taken into account the days of lost production associated with equipment downtime. This thesis project it is to demonstrate how, by pumping slowly (installing wells speed reducer) can resolve these difficulties, making these marginal wells to wells economically active for an additional period of time. When a reservoir depletes (lost energy), a subsurface pump will be able to lift more fluid reservoir may offer. An excess pumping capacity gives as results deterioration due to impact loads caused by blow fluid, unnecessary friction and voltage fluctuations. It is generally used to limit this damage by pumping intermittently. Usually this is done by placing a timer or by installing a mechanical pump controller.
