The photovoltaic system connected to the grid (SFCR) is one of the most cost-effective systems that use renewable energies. SFCR supplies electricity to satisfy energy needs from solar energy and reduces the cost of energy consumption. This system consists of four elements: a photovoltaic generator, an inverter, an electrical energy transport subsystem, control, measurement and protection subsystem. As in any energy system, it is necessary to monitor and control that the expected energy is produced and that the measurements are reliable. Hence, in the present work, is presented a performance analysis of the photovoltaic system that is connected to the conventional supply grid of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies (CTIC-UNI) for a period of 2 years. This thesis consists of six chapters: The first chapter focuses on general concepts concerning photovoltaic systems. The second chapter provides a theoretical overview of what an SFCR is, its components, its functions and its operation mode. The third chapter covers the state of the art on SFCRs, as well as the current situation in Peru and the world. The fourth chapter deals entirely with the equipment, wiring, protections and others involved in the SFCR at CTIC-UNI, and the results of the performance and profitability analysis are presented. In the fifth chapter, observations and conclusions are presented. Finally, in the annex, are reported the regulations applicable in Perú.
