Around the solid waste management, was identify if the district population pick and separate his solid waste, furthermore, if it has a relationship with the environmental awareness the population possess. However, awareness is a wide term and is not well defined by the PIGAR, that be associated to the different environmental culture and information who any citizen has, in the district, especially with limited action of sensitization and environmental training (Recycling, responsible consumption and segregation at source). The method used was an experimental and transverse kind. The research level was correlational. All surveys were pass by judgment and review of experts. The general results proved a reasonable positive and moderate correlation between the environmental awareness population knowledge of the district of San Juan de Lurigancho and the domiciliary solid waste recollection they produce. Also, we obtain a specific result as much for the population waste solid management knowledge level and the environmental values level of the solid waste management of the San Juan de Lurigancho district population they say to have; there is a mild positive reciprocation respect to the domiciliary solid waste collection.
