The copper oxide nanoparticles currently become very important due to its various applications as an antimicrobial (kills bacteria and fungi), photocatalyst (degrades dyes), and components of electrical systems (magnetic tender Accessories and gas sensors). The thesis is about of obtaining nanoparticles of copper oxide from copper sulfate pentahydrate in basic solution. For which purpose the method that was used for the synthesis was the rapid chemical precipitation, and for this it will be used a stainless steel reactor of 60 liters of capacity, which has stirring system and temperature control that will be used to define the parameters for the design of equipment for industrial production. The nanoparticles of copper oxide obtained will be characterized structurally, morphologically and microbiologically. Subsequently, it are going to carried out the application of copper oxide nanoparticles on textiles using the method traditionally used in the textile industry (impregnation process) about dry tissue, using the equipment called Foulard. The textiles samples will be impregnated with the antimicrobial, it was subjected to a microbiological examination to assess their antimicrobial activity against attack by bacteria such as Escherichia coli. Later the antimicrobial activity was evaluated using these textiles acquired using international norms. In the investigation, the sizes of diameters of the inhibition halos also will be determined by means the diffusion method for disks of the standard strains such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the wild strains like Pantoea Sp, Ochrobactrum, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Aerococcus viridans, Micrococcus, Bacilo (63), y Bacilo (18). In addition, it is going to realize a proposed design process industrially for the production of nanoparticles of copper oxide (CuO) by means of a scaling with the synthesis carried out in laboratory from copper sulfate pentahydrate as well as evaluating environmental impact and socio-economic in obtaining the product. One of the strengths that have for the development of this thesis is that we counted on with the experience of CuO nanoparticle synthesis of copper acetate starting from achieving obtain nanoparticles 11nm and which shall be taken into account in Chapter In the field of engineering application of antimicrobials in textiles is taken some background as the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) of Mexico City which developed a textile Antimicrobial based on silver nanoparticles, which prevents the proliferation of microorganisms to reacting with moisture in the skin, also has another background application nanoparticles as zinc peroxide in textile cotton fabrics as antimicrobial activity performed in the FC-UNI Lima - Perú.
