The present work shows the effect of the dosification of hydrogen peroxide and chlorine against the contend of cyanide of the effluent obtained from the process of cyanuration of the planta Laytaruma S.A., by application of a factorial design with two factors. The change in dosification of the reactives of chlorine and hydrogen peroxide, were evaluated by the following considerations: (0.02; 0.04; 0.07) g/l and (0.12; 0.14; 0.17) g/l, respectively (independent variables). According to the factorial design with two factors dosed nine combinations of three repetitions was performed, reaching a total of 27 tests (dependent variables); in the experimental procedure they reported their results. Each test was realized with 1000ml of effluent simple. The results indicate that the lo west content of total cyanide, is equivalent, 0.06 ppm was obtained by a dosification of 0.17 g/l hydrogen peroxide and 0.07 g/l of chlorine. Further more, from the results of the analysis of the final effluent can be concluded that the increase of dosification of hydrogen peroxide up to 0.17g/l, the final content of total cyanide diminishes; a too was observed that the increase of dosification of chlorine up to 0.07g/l results in the diminution of the final content of total cyanide. Finally a confidence level of 95%, the variance analysis confirms that the variables are significantly affecting both studied, the dosage of chlorine and hydrogen peroxide; It is demonstrated the economic feasibility of using these reagents in the detoxification of mining effluents. Key wods: factorial design, effluents, reactive, dosification, confidence, level.
