Abstract: La presente tesis tiene por objetivo fundamental la aplicación de las tecnologías existentes a la infraestructura vial de las carreteras peruanas utilizando criterios ingenieriles y tecnologías existentes como cámaras de control y vigilancia, paneles de mensaje variable, estación meteorológica, tele-peaje, pesajes, estaciones S.O.S, centro de control, utilizando softwares y hardware adecuados para el funcionamiento de estas tecnologías.
Toda esta gama de tecnología se utilizará para el estudio de la Carretera Longitudinal de la Sierra en el Tramo Cochabamba –Chota Km. 120+450 al Km. 150+870, Ruta PE-3N, de la región de Cajamarca contemplado en el Desarrollo de la Arquitectura y Plan Maestro de Sistemas Inteligentes de Transportes (ITS) de Perú.
Se optó por la inspección IN SITU la necesidad o requerimiento para innovar y equipar con Sistemas Inteligentes de Transportes en una longitud de 30.42 Kms.
El método utilizado es deductivo partiendo de experiencias internacionales en las innovaciones tecnológicas para el transporte carretero, para luego analizar la necesidad de implementación e innovación tecnológica para proveer a la infraestructura vial en estudio.
Los resultados atendiendo básicamente la importancia de la futura Carretera Longitudinal de la Sierra (3,463.41Kms.) además de modernizar la red vial nacional es dotar una mayor Seguridad Vial, optimizar la vigilancia de la Conservación de la Carretera, información oportuna para y/o comportamiento de los usuarios viales esto se traduce finalmente al desarrollo económico social del país.
Al llevarse a cabo esta iniciativa se deberá normalizar los Sistemas Inteligentes de Carreteras por la Entidad competente siendo el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones acorde a la arquitectura física planteada, adoptando los criterios técnicos para las regiones naturales de la costa sierra y selva que comprende el país.
Finalmente se responde a la interrogante ¿Para que la Tesis? la implementación de los ITS en una carretera soluciona los problemas de accidentes de tránsito, protección a la infraestructura vial y gestiones fiscalizadoras de tránsito garantizando una movilidad segura en la carretera.

The thesis fundamental objective the application of the existing road infrastructure of roads using Peruvian engineering criteria and technologies such as chambers of control and surveillance, variable message signs, weather station, tele-toll, weighing stations technologies SOS control center, using appropriate software and hardware’s for the operation of these technologies. This range of technology is used for the study of the Longitudinal Highway Stretch Sierra in Cochabamba -Chota Km. 120 + 450 to Km. 150 + 870, PE-3N Road, in the region of Cajamarca referred to in Development Architecture and Master Plan of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) of Peru. We chose in the place need or requirement to innovate and be equipped with intelligent transport systems over a length of 30.42 km. The deductive method is based on international experiences in technological innovations for road transport and then analyze the need to implement and technological innovation to provide road infrastructure study. The results basically taking the importance of the future Longitudinal Highway Sierra(3,463.41Kms.) In addition to modernize the national road network is to provide greater road safety, optimize Conservation Monitoring Highway, timely information and / or behavior of road users this is finally translated to the social economic development of the country. In carrying out this initiative should normalize Intelligent Systems Highway by the competent institution and the Ministry of Transport and Communications according to the physical architecture raised by adopting the technical criteria for natural forests and coastal regions saw comprising the country. Finally answers the question Why the thesis? the implementation of ITS in road solves the problems of traffic accidents, road infrastructure protection and audit transit arrangements ensuring safe mobility on the road.
