The oil fields of oil extraction in the Peruvian jungle have great potential for oil production , however by pushing mechanism having these fields (water drive) also have high formation water production problems that generate both surface ( as it must be reinjected ) As in subsurface water produced in oil fields jungle Peru , are reinjected 100% formation water , with an average monthly production of 12'166, 969 bbls , with an average production daily 405.566 bbls saltwater , averaging 97.4 % cut . Due to the increase of water in the last 06 years . Which originate injection and high treatment cost , because this is done this thesis experiencing applying a polymeric gel injected into the wells , to reduce water production . This thesis was carried out by an analysis methodology and experimental field . To which was assessed to identify the specific problems in three ways , which were to select the wells that may need a system of water control, determine the water problem so that you can select a method suitable control , locating the entry point of the water in the well so that it can place the treatment .. To make the diagnosis of the source of the problem to excessive water production, the following information field production history and decline , details of well completion , history reconditioning the well, studies of geology and reservoir was compiled , records of drilling, completion records , well logs . The results of gel application was successful based on the results obtained in the four wells after injection of Polymer Gel , reducing water production between 50-70 % and oil production has hardly been affected.
