The current implementation of mining projects in Peru such as Las Bambas mining megaproject, Constancia, Toromocho and the expansion of Cerro Verde involve large sums of capital (billions of dollars), these projects involve the construction of major infrastructure such as the concentrator plant, roads for mining, Truck Shops, waste dumps, tailings dam, etc. These infrastructures that are important for starting operation of the mining company implies to make first the Initiation, Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting and closure. In these mining projects, control of costs, time and quality are very important. In this thesis, we apply the PMI project management for one of the main projects that we usually find in a mine, Miners Paths specifically to mining road Cruce Del Río Section 1, done at the Las Bambas Mining Company. This project not only has the mining plan, drilling and blasting, loading and hauling what is usually found in a project within a mine, if not we'll see it in a macro form; that is see all processes involved focusing in knowledge areas that are most important such as integration management, scope, schedule and costs. Initially, the processes mentioned were part of a group of processes called planning, execution and control, those will be in the areas of knowledge. Once applied project management, we'll see that the control performed involves costs, quality and time giving us better results than the traditional system of control which in most cases only look progresses.
