The objective of this thesis is develop a method to use tailings as backfill as much as the operation require without the risk of shortage caused by reuse of old tailings and the implementation of reslurry, removal and transfer of tailings, in order to comply goals of production to short and medium term of U.O. Arcata because of the conjuncture since second semester of 2013. We're going to reuse deposited tailings in the last Cancha de Relave Nº 04, after a sectorization process to determine areas with good grading which contain coarse particles ( mesh +200) in a bigger percentage than 80% to remove and transport it to the accumulation area where the reslurry will work and by a mud pump, tailings will be transported in form of pulp to the tailings classification plant plus tailings generated by mineral processing plant. Previously, infrastructure buildings should be starting as well as the requirement of pump according to the obtained design. To develop this thesis, we use hidraulic concepts, solids transport by pipes in order to design the correct reslurry system; so the same, we develop financial basic concepts showing the economic viability of the project.
