Stress is a biopsychosocial disorder currently affecting the world population, which is immersed in a global society that demands and demand every day individuals qualified and trained to confront and resolve each of the issues involving labor, social and emotional before it. The causes and effects of stress in the workplace are varied, but the important thing is to motivate and prepare members of labor organizations to deal with tenacity and courage the challenges in the workplace, without neglecting its occupational health for great results in achieving the goals proposed. Currently work stress occupies much of the attention of big business, has been identified not only as a result of decreased production but as a cause of accidents with corresponding loss of man hours. This paper did research in the mining center of the firm. Minera SA Raura in 2010. Was raised as a problem is stress a factor influencing the occurrence of accidents associated with substandard acts? Its aim was to determine as there is a stress factor that directly affect the occurrence of accidents. They hypothesized Is stress a factor that significantly influence the occurrence of accidents? Three dimensions were measured as: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment, applying a simple survey workers accident victims, found that poor peer relationships and situations were economic problems facing them at the time of accident. W e conclude that more attention should be paid in the early identification of occupational stress and implement programs to eradicate it from the company.
