This thesis is the result of a experimental study on correlations of different equipment of penetration in a sandy soil also compacted in order to establish correlation equations between them. The experimental trials were conducted in a well of 2.00 meters in diameter and 10.00 feet deep, dug in a garden opposite the Soil Mechanics Laboratory, Faculty of Civil Engineering, National University of Engineering, filled with not plastic sand, compacted in layers with Relative Density Dr= 18.19%, corresponding to a degree of compaction of GC= 90% and relative density Dr=69.3% corresponding to a degree of compaction of GC=100%, based on the Maximun Dry Density of Modified Proctor. A characterization geomechanics, was made of the sandy soil used, through standard tests of particle size, Atterberg limits, specific gravity, moisture content and special tests: Maximum and Minimum Density, Modified Proctor, Deformation Under Load (oedometer test) and Shear Direct. We performed a compilation of existing information on correlations between different equipment and relationships with key soil properties: angle of internal friction, gravity and modulus of elasticity. In compacted soil with Dr = 18.19% (GC = 90%) were performed: 3 test of SPT (Standard Penetration Test), 2 auscultation tests with the cone dynamic type Peck, 2 tests with the DPL (Dynamic Probing Light), 2 tests with the DPM (Dynamic Probing Medium), 2 Sowers Cone tests, 2 tests with the WST (Weigh Sounding Test) and 2 empirical tests using a rebar ½ “. No tests are scheduled CPT (Cone Penetrometer Test) due to very low values obtained with the first tests did not permit correlations between them. In compacted soil with Dr=69.27% (GC=100%) were performed 12 tests of SPT, 2 Peck Cone tests, 2 tests with the DPL, 2 tests with the DPM, the WST 2 tests, 2 tests with the CPT, 2 tests with the Sowers Cone, and 2 empirical test with rebar ½”. It also tested at the start of each level without overloading geostatic order to attempt to verify the effect of confining (overburden), the effect of length of the bars, placing the hammer in the surface and bottom of the pit, and the effect of the diameter of the pit. To perform the tests, had the equipment and operators CISMID, Dr. Jorge Alva Hurtado and Company Consulting Engineers CAA EIRL. As a result of the study proposes relationships correlation between the results of the different equipment used and related to the main soil properties: angle of internal friction (), modulus of elasticity (E) and relative density (Dr).
