The progress of the development (design) of the buildings of concrete armed, linked with solutions to the unions of the elements. In buildings of concrete armed, and especially in the construction of large span length. Arise problems of overlap joints of steel. The goal of improving the joints (splice or overlap) of steels is to ensure its strength and the minimum consumption of materials with simple technology. The use of traditional methods of overlapping of steel rods has shortcomings. a) The union welded (especially) when using high strength steels. Arise technological problems like: (the difficulty for welding different brands of steel, also welding of high strength steels is destroying the crystal structure of steel. b) By using overlapping steels, requires a high expenditure of material, because, the length of the overlap reaches more than 40 to 50 times the diameter of the bar. In both types, the breakage of joint is a fragile, also to the union welded is sensitive to the actions dynamic. These shortcomings of traditional unions (union welded, and overlaps) led to the study of these types of union, and especially weld less. This constructive solution are published in the literature. (See Appendix bibliography) Majority of the recommended solutions are complicated and thus not used in buildings, because for its realization, it requires special equipment such as (presses, couplers, etc.). Nor may not use these types of unions at the site of construction, these constructive solutions do not reach its bearing capacity, so this problem is real.
