Today, the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) in Peru have a great impact on the national economy because they are the ones who produce 47% of GDP (Cañari, 2020). Despite their important role, it is known that 92.2% of companies created 10 years ago, remain at the same level without being able to evolve (Comex, 2016). In this context, INVERSIONES ZULAY SAC. Small business in the commerce sector, after being in the national market for several years, has been presenting a series of problems which prevent it from growing, the main one being “low level of service”, causing economic losses that represent 5.47% of its annual sales. The level of service currently provided is 75%, a percentage considered by them as good, however, the market where they compete demands a minimum level of 85% (INTUENDI, 2019). To solve the afore mentioned problem, the causes of this were identified, having as main consequences: delivery of products in poor condition, stock breakage and non-compliance with the dispatch schedule. For this, after research carried out in papers, the application of a series of tools is proposed that will seek to attack and correspondingly solve each of the identified causes, these being ABC classification, activity value analysis and demand forecast. The main objective of the application of these tools is to increase the level of service to 85% in order to reduce the economic losses currently incurred.
