The present study analyzes the potential relationship between resilience, measured by the Perceived Social Support Scale (MSPSS), and resilience measured by the Brief Resilient Coping Scale - BRCS (Sinclair & Wallston, 2004). The study is quantitative in nature with a non-experimental design and a simple correlational scope, involving 115 participants, 75 females and 40 males, aged between 60 and 80 years during the Covid-19 period, either accompanied by a spouse, alone, or with some form of assistance. Among the main findings, it can be observed that all three dimensions of social support, namely friends, significant others, and family, have a direct correlation with resilience. Similarly, it was revealed that all three components of social support are predictive variables regarding resilience, demonstrating a significant relationship between social support and resilience. Regarding the results, it was demonstrated that the family dimension and significant others dimension show significant differences. Similarly, the significant others dimension also presents significant differences. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between social support and resilience in older adults. Social support is predominantly perceived from the family, and there are significant differences in resilience based on gender.
