The objective of the research is to determine the type and consumption of collagen for health benefits in users who frequent a pharmaceutical establishment in the province of Jauja. The method was cross-sectional and descriptive; the sample consisted of 98 users. The results show that 73.42% were women, 43.04% consumed Collmar N2 (hydrolyzed collagen) and 34.18% Collagen D (non-hydrolyzed collagen). As for food, guinea pig represented 30.38% of animal origin and broccoli 21.52% of vegetable origin that provides collagen. 35.44% suffered from osteoporosis and 45.57% from skin aging. In conclusion; the users of the study consumed collagen for their health, between hydrolyzed and non-hydrolyzed.
