Abstract: El presente estudio tuvo el objetivo de determinar los factores de riesgo sociodemográficos y obstétricos asociados a la MME en un hospital del Callao en el 2018. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo- correlacional, de tipo cuantitativo, con una población y muestra de 381 pacientes. Entre los resultados, se determinó que factores sociodemográficos, como en estado civil, el 60,37% era soltera y su complicación se relacionó con una enfermedad específica. En relación a los factores obstétricos; 67.19% la complicación se presentó durante el embarazo y se asoció en un 82.15% al trastorno hipertensivo. Concluyendo que la mayoría de los factores sociodemográficos y obstétricos no se asocian significativamente a MME

The aim of this study was to determine the sociodemographic and obstetric risk factors associated with SCD in a hospital in Callao in 2018. Methodology: Descriptive-correlational study, quantitative type, with a population and sample of 381 patients. Among the results, it was determined that sociodemographic factors, as in marital status, 60.37% were single and their complication was related to a specific disease. In relation to obstetric factors; 67.19% of the complication occurred during pregnancy and 82.15% were associated with hypertensive disorder. It was concluded that most of the sociodemographic and obstetric factors were not significantly associated with MME
